Doing well in a free game does not mean you would do well at real-money gambling. Free games often feel more generous than real gambling, and real gambling always favours the operator.

Tips for playing well

  • Decide how long you'll play before you start, and use the session timer at the bottom of every page.
  • Take regular breaks: stand up, have a drink of water, look away from the screen.
  • Play for entertainment only, never to cope with stress, boredom or low mood.
  • Don't let free play lead you into real-money gambling.
  • Keep a balance with work, family, friends and sleep.

Signs it might be time for a break

  • You're playing for longer than you planned, or find it hard to stop.
  • You feel restless or irritable when you're not playing.
  • Playing is getting in the way of sleep, work or time with others.
  • You're thinking about trying real-money gambling to "win back" or chase a feeling.
  • Friends or family have mentioned how much you play.

Take a break, restrict or close your account

You're in control. Use the Write to Player Care button at the bottom of any page (or our contact form) and choose:

  • Take a break: we'll pause your account for the time you choose (for example 24 hours, 7 days or 6 weeks).
  • Restrict my account: a longer restriction of 6 months or more. Restrictions can't be lifted early.
  • Delete my account: permanent removal. You can also do this yourself from My account.

A person reads every request and we act on break and restriction requests as a priority.
